PHOTO 34 This is a picture from Evelyn's photos. Larry is not sure if this is correct but speculates the following:

1. The two girls in front are Leona and Evelyn
2. The three in back are Stevens
3. The one in the back on the left side is Rosa.
4. If 1,2 and 3 are correct then the old man peering through the window could be Ed Stevens.

PHOTO 34 Mustang house around 1926. Bill is John William, my grandfather. My mother's middle name is also Juanita. Juanita is Evelyn's daughter that was known as "Toots."

PHOTO 38 My uncle Louie's children, Donald, Ronald, and Elizabeth Davis. Dogs & Doll's names unknown. Click for close-up.

PHOTO 39 Esther Irion Davis and husband Louie David Davis. Esther Irion is a daughter of my father's brother, Emanuel Irion, so Esther is my first cousin. Louie is my mother's brother and is my uncle on this side of the family.

In the past I understood that their children were both my first and second cousin, but technically, this is how it works:

Donald, Ronald, Elizabeth, David, and Dale are my "first cousin" through their father, my uncle Louie.

Donald, Ronald, Elizabeth, David, and Dale are my "first cousin, once removed" through their mother, my cousin Esther.

So Donald, Ronald, Elizabeth, David, and Dale are both my "first cousin" and "first cousin, once removed.

The "relationship" part is the cousin and the "removed" part is the "generation."

So Becky Phillips is both my "first cousin, once removed" and my "first cousin, twice removed."

That's as complicated as I can make it! Want to learn more? Look here for an explination and here for an easy to use chart.
